Biography

Dr Justyna Kowalska is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Adults Infectious Diseases, Medical University of Warsaw and Senior Consultant in Infectious Diseases at the HIV Out-Patient Clinic, Hospital for Infectious Diseases in Warsaw, Poland. She has completed her Ph.D. at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark on long-term effects and toxicity of HIV treatment. She has published numerous articles in the field of HIV, hepatitis and tuberculosis. Her main interests include impact of communicable diseases, such as HIV on public health systems.

Research Interest

Public health strategies aimng to halt HIV epidemic (improving testing strategies, linkage and retention to care, treatment as prevention), Pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis of infectious diseases, Pharmacovigilance of HIV medicine and Improving early diagnostics of communicable diseases.
