Biography

Jonghoon Kang is an assistant professor of the biology department at Valdosta State University, Georgia USA. He obtained a BSc degree in biochemistry from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea in 1987 and a master degree from POSTECH majoring in life science in Pohang, South Korea in 1993. He came to USA in 1996 to study cellular physiology and molecular biophysics at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas where he received a PhD in 2004. He did his postdoctoral training at the university and Virginia Bioinformatics Institute from 2004 to 2008. Since 2008 he has been working as an assistant professor at Valdosta State University where he teaches molecular, cellular and quantitative aspects of biology. He is serving as a reviewer for the Journal of Biotech Research and an editorial board member for the Journal of Clinical and Cellular Immunology. He has published 26 papers as of 2011.
