Biography
Dr. Jianjun Sun has received his PhD in Medical College of Wisconsin during the period of 1999-2004. Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor in the University of Texas at El Paso. He has authored 13 research articles/books. He is a member of American Society of Microbiology Biophysical Society and American Society of Protein Sciences.
Research Interest
His research focuses on how bacterial pathogens cause human diseases. He is particularly interested in understanding the roles of bacterial toxins and other virulent factors in bacterial pathogenesis, and using them as model systems to understand fundamental processes of biological sciences including protein-membrane interaction, protein pore formation and membrane translocation.
