Biography

Jennifer Wu grew up in Beijing, China and immigrated to Baltimore during high school, and then moved to New York City with her parents to finish high school. After getting a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry at State University of New York at Binghamton, Jennifer returns to New York City and enrolled at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She decided to stay at Montefiore Medical Center for internship and residency in order to continue working with Dr. Janice Dutcher, an oncologist with active clinical research who was her mentor and contributed to Jennifer’s decision to pursue hematology and oncology . After fellowship at NYU Langone Medical Center, Jennifer stayed as faculty focusing on patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and biliary cancer.

Research Interest

Novel therapies in gastrointestinal cancers with a focus on liver cancer and biliary cancers.
Community outreach and early cancer detection and screening.
