Biography

Dr. Ismail Kady is Associate professor of organic chemistry at East Tennessee State University, USA. Dr. Kady received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemistry from the University of Jordan, and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Michigan State University in 1986. After working as a senior scientist at Air products & Chemicals Inc. for three years and as a Monsanto senior fellow at PrincetonUniversity (with Professor John Groves), he joined East Tennessee State University where he was promoted to associate professor in 1997 . Professor Kady teaches undergraduate and graduate levels of organic and industrial chemistry. His research interests involve both bioorganic and bioinorganic aspects of chemistry.

Research Interest

Heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis; synthesis and study of fuel cells catalysts; bioorganic/bioinorganic chemistry; molecular recognition; porphyrins syntheses & reactions; nucleic acids structures and reactions; synthesis and screening of anti-viral agents; chemical enzyme models&catalysis.
