Biography

Dr. Gadermaier is an Assistant professor at the University of Salzburg. After graduating she received her PhD in Molecular Biology and Immunology at the University of Salzburg in 2005 with full remarks. She received a scholarship for excellent studies and the Austrian research award for young scientists. She is active in the field of allergy and immunology and published 31 peer-reviewed papers, 6 reviews and participated with a book contribution. Dr. Gadermaier is reviewer of the journals Clinical and Experimental Allergy, International Archives of Allergy and Immunology, PloS ONE, Gene, and Clinical and Translational Allergy.

Research Interest

Dr. Gabriele′s research interest is focusing on pollen and food allergens. She has identified and physic-chemically and immunologically characterized several new allergenic molecules. She has been involved in the development of candidate molecules for future therapeutic applications of mugwort pollen and peach allergy. Dr. Gadermaier is especially interested in lipid-transfer proteins and their contribution in plant food and pollen mediated IgE cross-reactivity
