Biography

After completing his bachelors in dentistry from Agra University, he joined a government hospital in New Delhi as a Junior Resident. Although this hospital renders free treatment to the patients and a few basic medicines, it was here that he first came across the practicality that patient face for their treatment. Most of the patients that visited this hospital were below poverty line to get free treatment done. Here he developed an interest and will to serve and know more about such neglected and underserved people. After closely knowing their problems he developed a determination in him to do his masters in dentistry in such a field that will help him to serve more such patients. It was then that he decided to do his masters in public health dentistry where he learned about epidemiology, health education and preventive measures. He did his Masters in Public Health Dentistry from Agra University in 2010 and started working as assistant Professor in Vyas Dental College Jodhpur and associate Professor in Rajasthan dental College.He conducted over 300 camps mostly in association with many NGOs and private and government set ups. On individual basis he tried to serve special children such as mentally challenged, blind and deaf, orphanages, old age homes, stone mine workers and the prisoners of central jail, Jodhpur. To highlight the diseases affecting this part of the country he have conducted several studies, out of which many of them got published. He has authored around 51 articles in both National and International journals. He has served as a reviewer for 8 journals, 6 of which are international. He has even authored a book on “Dental caries and Dental fluorosis among Children of Mathura City” with LAP EMBERT Publication Germany. Besides all the work he has done in favor of public health he has been teaching both under graduate and post graduate students throughout my academic experience of six and half years. Academics has always interested me and has been his first priority. The strong urge in him to remain connected with the new and old has defined his interest. For this he has attended around 25 conferences and workshops, chaired several scientific sessions in conferences. The ever interesting scope of dentistry lies behind the line “mouth is the mirror of body” and how everybody is different. Over the years dentistry has evolved in many aspects. A contributing factor for this could be more number of cases reported and researches that are being done and acknowledged greatly. Therefore, it is mandatory in the field of medicine to keep oneself updated on the old and new facts. This can be achieved only through learning. Learning becomes an even more enjoyable process with the help of a well learned teacher. A good teacher is one who shares his/her knowledge without any discrimination and believes in ever increasing knowledge by sharing. Its a teacher only who shapes the clay like minds of students like a master. Not only does a teacher departs excellent knowledge but also holds the hands of his children through the tunnel of life, making him an excellent human being.
