Biography

Dr. Christopher A. Tormey is an Assistant Professor of Laboratory Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine and an attending Clinical Pathologist at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System. Dr. Tormey received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Chicago and his M.D. from New York Medical College. He subsequently completed residency training in Laboratory Medicine/Clinical Pathology and a fellowship in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine, both at the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Tormey is also board-certified in each of these medical disciplines. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Tormey has He has published over 25 scientific manuscripts and book chapters in the fields of Transfusion Medicine, Clinical Pathology, and Hematopathology and has served as an ad hoc reviewer for journals such as Blood, Transfusion, Journal of Clinical Apheresis, and Military Medicine.
