Research Interest

I attend Southport hospital for day case surgery and outpatient clinics where i see patients independently and have the support of a consultant to discuss new cases and difficult local flap reconstruction.
Cover plastic and Burns ward, which include the management of post operative free flaps, usage of leeches and larvae, patients with drains, pre-operative patients, trauma patients, and the Burns unit patient.
I attend allocated theatre sessions with different consultants and also trauma theatre when oncall.
Daily ward rounds of inpatients ranging from simple SSG, local flaps to rare rhabdomyosarcoma reconstruction during their post-operative recovery periods and of those with complications.  This is a teaching round led by the consultant.  I also deal with, and am competent, in general medical complications of surgical inpatients.
