Biography

Arun K. Iyer, Ph.D. is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Northeastern University, Boston. Dr. Iyer received his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry/Drug Delivery Systems at Sojo University in Japan and completed his postdoctoral training in Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), School of Medicine. He received the coveted CRS T. Nagai Postdoctoral Research Achievement Award from the Controlled Release Society (CRS) for his contributions to the area of controlled release science and technology. His research interests include development of polymeric biomaterials for drug targeting, biomedical imaging, advanced drug and gene delivery systems and nanomedical technologies for disease diagnosis, imaging and therapy.
