Biography

Dr. Argyris Michalopoulos, MD, FCCP, FCCM was born in 1954 in Pyrgos-Elias, Greece. He is a graduate of Athens University, School of Medicine. He is certified in Pulmonary Medicine (1986) and Critical Care Medicine (1989). He is Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He is currently Director of a general ICU, Henry Dunant Hospital, Athens, Greece (non-profit organization). He is co-editor in 3 books and author of 14 textbook chapters. He is the author of more than 50 original peer-reviewed articles and of more than 45 articles published in Greek medical journals. 

Research Interest

My research interest is the following: VAP, nosocomial infections, MDR pathogens and aerosolized antibiotics.
