Biography

Dr. Chatterjee is Professor of Pediatrics and Medical Microbiology and Immunology at Creighton University and Adjunct Professor Clinical of Pediatrics at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha Nebraska. She is also the Hospital Epidemiologist at Children’s Hospital in Omaha. Dr Chatterjee was born in India and attended high school at the Army Public School in New Delhi India. She received her MBBS MD from the Armed Forces Medical College at Pune University in India. Dr Chatterjee earned her PhD at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha Nebraska and conducted postdoctoral research in neonatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She completed her residency in pediatrics followed by Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship training at Creighton University/University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Dr Chatterjee has received numerous research awards.

Research Interest

Her research interests include vaccine development for Human Papilloma Viruses, other pediatric vaccines, hospital epidemiology, community-acquired methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, inhibition of H. pylori by nutraceuticals and antibiotic resistance.
