Biography
Dr. Ann Albinin is working as an Associate Professor at National Veterniary Insitute under the Department of Chemistry.
Research Interest
Infectious diseases, especially zoonotic infections and how these are spread to humans and animals via the environment, e.g. with vector animals and with recycling of biological waste in the feed and food production chain. Also the risk for persistence of pathogens in the environment e.g. in reservoir animals and in water and soil is studied. Climate change is one important factor as influence both transmission and persistence of pathogens in the environment. From year 2009 she have been entrusted to build up the Climate Centre at SVA and have here been able to ad multidisciplinary competence to my section, today we are 7 PhDs/Assoc. prof. and 4 other scientific staff.
