Biography
Dr. Bean received his B.A. from Oberlin College and Ph.D. from Yale University (with Dr. Robert Roth). He did postdoctoral fellowships at The Karolinska Institute (Dr. Tomas Hokfelt), Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (Dr. Ralf Pettersson), and Stanford University (Dr. Richard Scheller) prior to joining the faculty at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.
Research Interest
Molecular mechanisms of vesicular trafficking including neurotransmitter secretion, Endocytosis and protein sorting.
