Biography

Dr. Alessandra Lucchese, DDS, MS Orth, PhD is the Chair of Department of Orthodontics at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, Milan, Italy and Departrment of Dentistry , Research Area in Dentofacial Orthopedics, Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry at IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital, Milan, Italy. She graduated cum laude in Dentistry at the University of Ferrara, Master Degree in Paedriatics Dentistry and Dental Traumatology, in Interceptive Orthodontic, in Fixed Therapy (Mc Laughlin's two years program -Usa) and in Damon System (Spain). She is a specialist in Orthodontics and Gnathology in 1996.

Since 1997, Dr. Lucchese is University Researcher in Orthodontics and Paedodontics at the University of Ferrara and then at University Vita e Salute, San Raffaele Hospital, Milano. She is Former Teacher in Orthodontics and Gnatology. She is the Author of many papers in Italian and International Journals of Orthodontics. She is the editorial board member of Angle Orthod, Progress in Orthod, Doctor Os, and Dental Cadmos. Dr. Lucchese is an Official Member of S.I.D.O.(Italian Society Of Orthodontics), Founder Member of S.I.A.D.(Italian Society of Straight Wire), 2001-2003 cultural secretary in charge, member of S.I.O.C.M.F.(Italian Society of Dentistry and Maxillo-Facial Surgery), Member of S.I.O.I. (Italian Society of Children Dentistry), Member of A.A.O. (American Association of Orthodontics), Member of E.O.S.(European Orthodontics Society), Member of W.F.O.(World Orthodontics Federation).
