    A Review of Oil and Gas Midstream Operations in Kenya: Progress and Challenges

    Since 1960, Kenya has been refining imported crude oil and gas for its domestic needs. However, in 2012, it discovered its own oil resources. Huge expectations from this discovery among all the stakeholders have ignited unmatched interested both locally and internationally. The expected socio-economic changes for the nation however need to be surgically addressed and assessed. This paper therefore aims to explore the refining of oil and gas operations in Kenya. It analyses the history, development and future potential of the midstream sub-sector of the oil and gas industry. Furthermore, it evaluates the challenges facing the oil refining industry and makes recommendations for its successful operations. .. View more»
