Biography

 Zaccheaus Awortu Jeremiah Ph.D, FIBMS(London), FRCPath(London) Professor Zaccheaus Awortu Jeremiah has received his PhD in Haematology and Blood Transfusion Science at the Rivers State University of Science & Technology, Port Harcourt, Nigeria during the period of 2004 to 2006. Currently, he is working as a Professor in the Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as Head of Department of Medical Laboratory Science. His research has included Basic Haematology, Immunohaematology, and Blood Transfusion Science. Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as: Fellow, Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath), London, Fellow, Institute of Biomedical Science (FIBMS), London. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like JBDT, Blood Transfusion & expert Reviewers for many international journals. He has authored sixty two (62) research articles/books. He is a member of International Society for Blood Transfusion, Africa Society for Blood Transfusion, International Society for Laboratory Hematologists, Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria.
