Biography
Dr Ying Xi has received her PhD in Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. Currently, she is working at the Department of Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Division in University of California, San Francisco as a postdoctoral scholar. Her PhD training is mainly focused on Wnt signaling pathway in development and cancer. She has identified several novel components of Wnt pathway and characterized the molecular mechanisms of transcriptional activation and receptor activation. Her current research is focused on epithelial-mesenchymal transition in cancer progression and fibrogenesis, including small molecule inhibitor screening. She has published several first-author papers to Journal of Cell Biology, Oncogene, Journal of Biological Chemistry, etc. She is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like Carcinogenesis.
