His other research interests include: -Fundamental scientific studies of CH4 generation by methanogenic bacteria at thermophilic conditions and its application in the bio-solid waste treatment. -Study how CO2 reduction occurs and how CH4 is generated by methanogenic bacteria during an uncommon bio-methanogenesis process at Illinois Basin. -Heavy oil bio-upgrading through biological desulfurization and removing heavy metal contents in the crude oil.
