Biography
Dr. Gadhamshetty is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental and Civil Engineering at Florida Gulf Coast University. He is a registered professional engineer in State of New York, and a Board Certified Environment Engineer by American Academy of Environmental Engineers. Dr. Gadhamshetty has received his MS and PhD degree in Environmental Engineering from National University of Singapore and New Mexico State University respectively. Dr.Gadhamshetty obtained his postdoctoral research experience from U.S Airforce research laboratory at Tyndall Airforce Base, and process engineering experience from DuPont. His research has included dark fermentation, photofermentation, microbial fuel cells, and energy conservation in power plants. He has taught at both graduate and undergraduate level in multiple institutions including Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Florida Gulf Coast University. He has published his research in the form of nearly forty peer-reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings, and book chapters. Based on his research and training, he has received several awards and honors, such as Who’s who in Environmental Engineering and Science by American Academy of Environmental Engineers, Excellence in Civil Engineering Education Fellow by American Society of Civil Engineering, and Oakridge Institute of Science & Education Fellowship by Oakridge Associated Universities. He is serving as expert Reviewer for journals like Bioresource Technology, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, and Energy & Fuels.
Research Interest
His research has included dark fermentation, photofermentation, microbial fuel cells, and energy conservation in power plants.
