Vaccination Status and Factors Associated With It among Children Aged 12- 23 Months in Wadera District, South East Ethiopia

Background: Vaccination is one of public health interventions that protect children from vaccine-preventable diseases. In 2012 the WHO revealed that around 1.5 million children worldwide died from vaccine-preventable diseases. There for the objective of the study was to assess Vaccination status and factors associated with it among children aged 12-23 months in Wadera District. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from May to June 2016. Stratified simple random sampling technique was used to select study participants and semi-structured questionnaire using interview-administered technique was used to collect data. The collected data were entered using Epi Data version 3.2 and analyzed by SPSS version 20.
