Biography
 Dr. Sasada received his M.D. in 1987 from Kyoto University in Kyoto, Japan, and performed his training in gastroenterological surgery at Kyoto University Hospital and Tazuke-Kofukai Kitano Hospital, Osaka, Japan. He earned his Ph.D. in Pathology from Kyoto University in 1997, where he studied the molecular mechanisms of resistance to anti-cancer drugs in cancer cells. He did his postdoctoral research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the laboratory of Dr. Ellis Reinherz from 1998 to 2001, where he focused on T cell immunology, particularly the molecular mechanisms of T cell selection, differentiation, and activation.
