So Ran Kwon

Biography

 Dr. Kwon received her D.D.S. at Yonsei University College of Dentistry, Seoul, Korea in 1993, followed by a M.S. and Ph.D. at the Department of Conservative Dentistry. She completed her Certificate and MS at the Department of Operative Dentistry University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2011. Dr. Kwon is a member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, American Association for Dental Research, Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry, the American Academy of Operative Dentistry, and the American Dental Association. She has authored a textbook “Tooth Whitening in Esthetic Dentistry” published by Quintessence, which is also available in Korean and Chinese languages. Dr. Kwon has multiple publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. She lectures nationally and internationally on esthetic dentistry. Her research interest is esthetic dentistry with a focus on tooth whitening. Dr. Kwon is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Operative Dentistry in the University of Iowa College of Dentistry participating in teaching, research and patient care.
