Bachelor in Biological Sciences, Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at University of São Paulo, SP, Brazil. Post-Doc at Columbia University (1993). Ex-Director of the Biotechnology Center of Instituto Butantan (2002-2010). Ex-Director of the Technological Development and Production Division of Instituto Butantan (2012-2016). Ex-Member of the CNTBio (Technical National Comission for Biosecurity) (2012-2016). Academic Editor of PLoS One (from 2008 up to now). More than 160 articles indexed at ISI, h-index 41 and some patents applied in Brazil and in other countries.
