Biography

 Ali A. Moosavi - Movahedi is currently working as a Professor at Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran. Dr. Ali A. Moosavi - Movahedi completed his Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry in 1986. He was involved in research on protein - surfactant interaction in Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of Tehran. Besides research, he has taught the graduate and undergraduate courses in Biophysical Chemistry area. He has been supervising research work leading to the degree of M.Sc and Ph.D. He is at present conducting research on the structural analysis of protein, enzyme and DNA by the techniques attaining denaturation, folding, unfolding. In recognition of his outstanding research in the field of Science, awarded International Khawarazmi Prize in 1990 and elected as National distinguished Professor in 1997. He has selected as National Eminent Character 2003 and awarded the first class medal for research, University of Tehran, 2003, first rank medal for basic science research in Razi Medical Science National Festival 2005, Elsevier-Scopus International Award for Top Researcher in the Field of Biochemistry,Genetics & Molecular Biology 2007, Avicenna Festival First Rank Award for Top Researcher-2008 , Associate fellow- Iran Academy of Sciences, 2009 and first rank award and  national eminent researcher 2009 is confered in National Research Festival; Ministry of Science,Research and Technology of Iran ; selected as a "Professor of Eminence" of the University of Tehran ,2010; Prominent Professor appointed by Iran National Elites Foundation 2012; Selected as top ESI(Essential Science Indicator) scientist in the fields of Biology and Biochemistry 2013
