Biography
He is an Associate Professor of Geophysics for University of Tehran. He received a Doctoral Degree Ph.D. in Geophysics, 1995, Uppsala University, Department of Geophysics, Uppsala, Sweden. He is a post-graduated in applied Geophysics, 1988, Tehran University, Department of Geophysics, Tehran, Iran. He served as a Visiting Scientist, EAGE conference and Exhibition, different European contraries from 1990-2003, Visiting Scientist, Department of Earth Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan (1989), Research Expert in Geophysical Exploration Division: Data collection, processing and interpretation in different aspects: Department of Geophysics, Tehran University, Iran (1981-1989), and Visiting Scientist, Regional Training Course, NGRI, India. As a Professor, he is a recipient of many awards and grants for his valuable contributions and discoveries in major area of research. His research interests, as a Professor lie in Vibration monitoring generated by controle source using forward and inverse methods, Reservoir modelling using borehole data seismic attributes exteracted from multicomponent data and inversion methods, Seismic high resolution data acquisition in shallow depth using high frequency (60-100 Hz), 2D and 3D seismic data processing and interpretation using commercial software. He is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through his authorship of many books.
