Biography
Dr . Martha C. Hawes is a Professor in College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, University of KentuckyShe completed B.S. degree in Biology from Centre College, Kentucky, M.S. degree and Ph.D. degree in Plant Pathology (Mechanisms of Plant Pathogenesis) from University of Kentucky. She is a Professional member in American Phytopathological Society, American Society for Plant Biology, Botanical Society of America. She has published more than 30 articles.
Research Interest
Plant genes controlling programmed separation of living cells from roots; role of these plant cells in regulating microbial populations colonizing roots.
