Maria Claudia Costa Irigoyen
Biography
He holds a medical degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, a Master's degree in Biological Sciences (Physiology) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, PhD in Cardiovascular Physiology from the University of São Paulo and Professor of Medicine at USP. She is currently a collaborating professor in the department of cardiopneumology and professor of the PPG in Cardiology and Experimental Physiopathology of the University of São Paulo Medical School. He is a medical doctor at the Hypertension Unit and head of the Laboratory of Experimental Hypertension at the Heart Institute of the Hospital das Clínicas of the Medical School of the University of São Paulo. She is the current President of the Coordinating Commission of the Applied Physiology Service of the Heart Institute of FMUSP where she is a member of CEUA. He has experience in Physiology, with emphasis in Cardiovascular Physiology, working mainly in the following subjects: diabetes, blood pressure, physical training and arterial hypertension. She was the coordinator of the Graduation Interchange Program (Capes / Fipse) between Brazilian Universities (InCor (USP), UFMG and UFRGS) and Americanas (Wright State University and Wake Forest University) in the period 2010/2014. He currently coordinates the Visiting Professor Project with the USA (New Southern University and Veterans Administration Hospital - Miami) for the Science without Frontiers Program and participates in the Capes-Dfait Program with Canada. He was President of the Brazilian Society of Hypertension where he currently participates in the Scientific Council and Board of Directors and is the editor responsible for the Revista Hypertensão.
