Biography
Dr.Mahendra Rai is a Professor and Head at the Department of Biotechnology, Sant Gadge Baba AmravatiUniversity atAmravati, Maharashtra, India.He received his doctorate in Mycology from the R.D University, India.  He was a Visiting Scientist at the Department of Bioenergetics,University of Geneva,Switzerland.His area of expertise includes microbial biotechnology and nanobiotechnology. His present research interests include application of nanobiotechnology in medicine and agriculture, in particular the use of metallic nanoparticles as new generation of antimicrobials. He has published more than 2010 research papers inIndia and abroad. In addition, he has edited/authored more than 25 books.
