Biography
Jose Saavedra is Associate Professor of Pediatrics, at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is a pediatrician, gastroenterologist, investigator, educator, and medical and scientific business executive. Dr. Saavedra carried out seminal and groundbreaking work in the area of probiotics in pediatrics, and has an extensive record of publications in nutrition, and in the area of intestinal microbiota, immunity, and preventive nutritional strategies.
