Dr. Lock is Professor & Associate Chair, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine

Biography
Dr. Lock is Professor & Associate Chair, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he also serves as Psychiatric Director of the Comprehensive Pediatric Care Unit at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and Director of the Eating Disorder Program in the Division of Child Psychiatry.  Dr. Lock is board certified in general and adult psychiatry. He completed is training in General Psychiatry at the  Neuropsychiatric Institute and Brentwood VA Hospitals at UCLA where he also completed a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison psychiatry.  Dr. Lock completed his Child Psychiatry fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry at U.C. Davis. Dr. Lock also completed a Ph.D. at Emory University’s Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies and a Masters in Health Services Research at Stanford University School of Medicine. He finished his Education in,   Stanford University Health Services Research (MS) Morehouse/Emory School of Medicine Medicine (MD) Emory University Philosophy(Ph.D.) Emory University Comparative Literature (MA) New College Philosophy (BA) He is Honoured and Awarded with    2005-2010 Mid-Career Award, National Institutes of Health 1998-2003 Career Development Award, National Institutes Of Health 1999 Eating Disorder Research Society 1998 Junior Faculty Development Award, Association of Academic Psychiatrists 1987 Member, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society        
Research Interest
Dr. Lock’s research interests include 1) treatment intervention and outcome in eating disorders in youth and adults; 2) neural correlates of cognitive processes in eating disorders, 3) characterization of neurocognitive style and endophenotypes of cognitive style in eating disorders; and 4) dissemination and implementation of evidence based treatments for eating disorders
