Biography
Dr. Emily Simons is currently working in Kid Risk team to explore globally-coordinated investments in measles and rubella management and to focus specifically on characterization of the health and economic impacts of rubella. Prior to joining Kid Risk, Emily worked for over three years at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland on the analysis of immunization coverage and surveillance data on measles and rubella and on estimating the global burden of measles. Her published research includes papers on the cost-effectiveness of measles vaccination and the use of data for planning vaccination activities.
