Biography
 Dr. Schelegle’s research program is focused on the development and validation of the rhesus monkey model of allergic asthma and the mechanism underlying the development of airway hyperresponsiveness in atopic and non-atopic asthma.
Research Interest
 Dr. Schelegle’s area of interest is pulmonary physiology with a focus on the role that lung vagal afferents and efferents play in lung function, control of breathing pattern, epithelial injury, inflammation and repair in models of acute and chronic lung injury and/or disease.
