Biography
Asst. Prof. Dr. Noppanun Supasiripongchai obtained Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) from Bangkok University, Thailand in 1998. He obtained his Master of Law (LL.M.) Specialization in Commercial Law from Monash University, Australia in 2002 and then Master of Law (LL.M.) Specialization in Intellectual Property Law from Australian National University (ANU), Australia in 2004. In 2010, he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Law from University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He received the award of Ph.D. with ‘1 Reg A’. In 2011, he was invited by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and World Trade Organization (WTO) to attend the WIPO-WTO Colloquium for Teachers of Intellectual Property Law in Geneva, Switzerland as the representative from Thailand. He is the Director of the Intellectual Property Law Research and Development Center (IPLRDC) at School of Law, University of Phayao, Thailand. He has thought a wide range of courses including Intellectual Property Law; Environmental Law; Property and Land Law; Alternative Dispute Resolution; and Electronic Commerce Law. He currently supervises several postgraduate research students in the area of Intellectual Property Law and Environmental Law. He was invited to be a guest lecturer at Faculty of law, Konkaen University, Thailand and also he has published many academic works in local and overseas journals such as Thailand Journal of Law and Policy, European Intellectual Property Review (EIPR), Intellectual Property Quarterly (IPQ), Computer and Telecommunications Law Review (CTLR), International Review of Intellectual Property and Competition Law (IIC) and so on. He is currently writing a book on the Plant Varieties Protection Law in Thailand.
