Biography
Carla Djamila Monteiro Reis is Chairman of the Agency for Regulation and Supervision of Pharmaceutical and Food products since October 2010, was Member of Board of Directors of the Agency since 2005 and teacher of Deontology and Pharmaceutical Legislation, in the Course of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Jean Piaget University of Cape Verde, since 2006.
She has received her master Degree in Evaluation and Regulation of Medicines and Pharmaceutical Products by the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon, Portugal in 2010 and is currently on a PhD program at the same University.
Her research has included Regulation of the pharmaceutical sector in Cape Verde and recently the establishment of a Pharmacovigilance system that originated to author research articles.
Others areas of activities included the General Directorate of Pharmacy of the Ministry of Health in Cape Verde and previously, while in the private sector, Technical Director of Guerbet Portugal, Pharmacovigilance Consultant for EUROTRIALS, Scientific Consultants and Regulatory Affairs at Pfizer Portugal.
Actually, member of the African Society of Pharmacovigilance where invited as consultant since 2013. Also member of the Board for the Forum of Drug Regulatory Agencies of Portuguese speaking countries since 2012.
