Biography
 B. M. Andersen received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees at Medical Faculty, University in Oslo. Professor Andersen's specialty is medical microbiology. Professor Andersen is the Head of the Department of Hospital Infections, Oslo University Hospital-Ullevål. Professor Andersen is a Professor in hygiene and infection control at Oslo University Hospital and Diakonova University College.
Research Interest
 His research interests are mainly nosocomial infections, particularly MRSA- Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus, and other infections, infection control, and endotoxins.
