Biography
He is a principal investigator of the Laboratory of Complementary & Alternative Medicine and Natural Product Research of the aforementioned department. Currently he is carrying out the research to explore the novel and indigenous sources of phytomedicinal components as alternative therapeutics for noncommunicable chronic diseases especially type 2 diabetes and chemical induced acute hepatic toxicity through intervention in animal models
Research Interest
Dr. Atiar Rahman  interests include severe lung disease including pneumonia, allergy, ILD, rare and congenital lung diseases, lung disease in children with multi-system disorders, cystic fibrosis, and asthma/preschool wheeze. He has special interest on Pediatric Bronchoscope, PICU and lung function testing in children of all age’s.
