Albert I. Wertheimer
Biography
Dr. Albert Wertheimer is a Professor at Temple University School of pharmacy in Philadelphia. He earned an MBA at the State University of New York at Buffalo and a PhD at Purdue University. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at St Thomas' Hospital Medical School in the Social Medicine Department, London.
His most recent research is in pharmacoeconomics and health policy analysis. He has published 34 books and over 400 journal articles and he has guided nearly 100 PhD and post-doctoral students. He is the editor of the Journal of Pharmaceutical Health Services Research and he serves on the editorial boards of five journals as well as serving as a peer reviewer for 18 journals.
Lately he has published about the economic impact of counterfeit drugs, off label prescribing and drug shortages.
