Biography

Dr. Ala Elhelali is currently, at Johns Hopkins University, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, involved in coordinating and performing clinical research aimed at therapies for peripheral nerve injuries. Doctorate in Biomedical Engineering, Galway Mayo Institute of Technology. Awarded the competitive Health Research Board (HRB) Ireland grant to complete a Cochrane Fellowship. Doctoral work focused on experimentally investigating complex 3D printed patient specific aortic arch aneurysm treated with the multilayer flow modulator. Joined PSRC to advance her knowledge in the field of plastic surgery.
