He is presently the Principal Investigator of the Mental Health in Primary Care (MeHPriC) Lagos, project funded by Grand Challenges Canada and the Executive Director of the Centre for Mental Health Research and Initiative (CEMHRI).
Biography
Dr Adewuya is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry in the Department of Behavioural Medicine, Faculty of Clinical Sciences. He joined the College in 2007 as a senior Lecturer. He had been the Acting HOD of Behavioural Medicine twice (2008-2010 and 2012-2012-2014) He had his undergraduate education and postgraduate clinical training at the ObafemiAwolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife. Nigeria. Between 2010-2012 he was a Research Fellow at the Institute of Psychiatry (IOP), Kings College, London. UK. He was appointed the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, LASUCOM in March, 2014.
