Editorial

A rapidly developing area of science and technology involves research about the interactions between chemistry over human life. Over the past half century, Chemistry is that branch of science that deals with the chemical composition, structure and properties of matters and other substances. Human body itself is made up of chemical compositions and the environment required for the human life to sustain is inseparable from the chemical composition of matters.

Hence, we are pleased to present this Special Issue entitled “Modern chemical approach during the COVID-19 Pandemic”, which focuses on key leading areas. We are expanding our editorial board for addressing the gaps and further enriching this journal. I am glad that Prof. Yuming Zhao Editor-in-Chief, Professor, Department of Chemistry, Memorial University, Canadais joining as one of the Editor of this journal. Her brief profile is enclosed. I am sure with her efforts the journal will be able to strengthen the links between scientometrics and others streams within STS (science, technology, society) studies. Interested readers can see her profile in the inaugural issue. His joining the editorial team, will help in strengthening the coordination and management of the journal. Dr Yuming Zhao is a distinguished scholar in library and information science. His joining the journal as Assistant Editor will be very useful for strengthening the journal editorial process.

The heightened interest in the science and applications of chemical methods over the last 2 decades has led to a nearly 10- fold increase in the number of relevant papers published per year.

The manuscripts submitted to this Special Issue were peerreviewed following the standard procedures of the modern chemistry and applications; as a result, the collection of papers included here aim to provide the most recent developments in a field of ever-growing scientific, industrial, and socio-economical interest. Authors are leading experts coming from universities, research centers, industries, and hospitals located all around the world in Europe, America, Asia, and Australia.

Lastly, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the authors for their efforts and contributions to this Special Issue. We also thank Profs. Yuming Zhao, Editors-in-Chief of the Modern chemistry and applications, for their kind assistance in the handling of the papers in this Special Issue. Readers can develop an understanding of the advances in COVID-19 suffering from this pandemic situation.
